These Terms set forth conditions upon which Direct Tutoring Ltd (Hereafter “Direct Tutoring”, “we”, “our” or us”) make this website available to you by whatever access means including on mobile platforms. We advise to read these terms carefully before registering for Direct Tutoring website and services because it constitutes a binding legal agreement (“Agreement”). By registering, transacting, using or accessing this website, you will be considered to have accepted these Terms and Conditions and agree to comply with term. If you do not agree to comply with these Terms please do not use the website.
Changes to these Terms: We may modify or update these Terms and Conditions from time to time, so please review these Terms regularly. This website is owned and operated by Direct Tutoring LTD. In case of any discrepancies between these Terms and any other guidelines, terms or policies, the text of this Agreement shall always prevail.
Definitions
Unless the context requires otherwise, the following words hall have the following meanings: “Agreement” refers to these Terms and Conditions. “Tutee” refers to a person who uses the Direct Turing platform to access tuition services. “Tutor” refers to a qualified and experienced professional who provides tuition services on or through the Direct Tutoring website. “You” refers to a user of the website and includes Tutor, Tutee and, where applicable, Tutee’s parent or guardian. “We”, “Our”, “us” or “Company” refers to Direct Tutoring LTD. “Website” refer to the Direct Tutoring’s internet address located at: www.directtutoring.co.uk
ACCESS AND REGISTRATION:
You can access, view and use the information on this site for free but you may need to register and/or pay to use our paid for tuition services. Direct Tutoring will allow you to register and create your profile. All the registration information provided must be complete and accurate up-to-date. In some circumstances, we may, at our discretion, refuse some registration applications we have good reasons to believe that they are fraudulent or contain external links to other tuition websites and or contact information displayed on your profile such as contact phone number or email address, this can merit up to a £1000 fine. This is usually reduced to £250 if paid within the first 2 weeks of notification via email; after such time the full penalty will need to be paid. To complete your registration, we may require certain personal information including your full name, telephone number, email, physical address and/or professional qualifications. We will provide you with a username and password. Certain details provide by Tutors will be public visible and may appear in search engine results. Please read our Privacy Policy which explains our approach with regard to the collection, storage, use and disclosure of data.
Your log-in information is for your personal use only. You must not reveal them to anyone or allow anyone else to use them. You must not impersonate any user.
Direct Tutoring will take necessary technical and organizational measures to protect personal details of Tutors and Tutees but you acknowledge and agree that we will not be liable for unauthorized access or interference with your account. It is your sole responsibility to maintain the security and confidentiality of your account.
You agree that Direct Tutoring Ltd. will permit Tutees to directly contact Tutors and Tutors will be able to view Tutee’s public profile
We do not have control over accuracy, completeness or reliability of information provided by Tutors or Tutees on our website and we advise members to exercise caution and diligence. Incidence of unacceptable behavior can be reported to our customer service at: info@directtutoring.co.uk.
Obligations of the Tutor:
A Tutor warrants and represent that he/she:
is 18 years or older
(b) Possesses the relevant qualifications and experience needed to provide tuition services in the subjects offered by the tutor on the Website.
Tutors must obtain consent of a parent or guardian if he or she is to contact a Tutee who is under the age of 18 year.
Tutors shall be responsible for setting prices for their tuition services and for collection of the all payments due from the Tutee. Direct Tutoring is not a party to any transaction or communication between Tutor and Tutee and will not accept liability whatever for any unpaid fees or dispute between Tutor and Tutee.
Tutors assume sole responsibility for the information and materials provided by them on or thought the Direct Tutoring website. Tutors agree to indemnify Direct Tutoring against third party claims for any liability, costs, expenses, loss or damage resulting or connected with the reliance and use or inability to use materials provided by Tutors on the Website
A Tutor is prohibited from contacting Tutee outside of Direct Tutoring website. All communications between Tutor and Tutee must go through Direct Tutoring website.
Tutor must maintain a cordial and professional relationship with Tutee or Tutee’s representative. Abusive behavior will not be tolerated.
Tutors are independent contractors who use our website as a means to deliver their services. You agree that as a tutor you are not an employee, agent or partner of the Company. It is the tutor’s responsibility to pay all applicable taxes including income tax, VAT, insurance and other liabilities connected with the provision of tuition services at the website.
Tutor agrees that Direct Tutoring Ltd is not a party to any arrangement or agreement entered between Tutor and Tutee. Tutors bear all risk in entering agreements with Tutee and must exercise caution when doing so.
Tutors are not permitted to complete tasks, coursework, essays or assignments on behalf of the Tutee. Doing so may lead to suspension or termination of your services from Direct Tutoring platform.
Direct Tutoring Ltd does not permit Tutors to demand upfront fees. Fees are paid for single lesson at a time and tutors agree to only accept payment at the completion of specific lesson.
OBLIGATIONS OF THE TUTEE
A tutee who is under 18 years of age must obtain consent from a parent or guardian to register and use our services and the parent or guardian agrees, in accordance with these Terms, to enter into an agreement with the respective Tutor for the provision of tuition services. It is the duty of the parent or guardian to verify the credentials of the Tutor. Direct Tutoring Ltd shall not be responsible for any dispute or complaint surrounding parental consent or any troubles and misunderstandings arising between the Parent or guardian and the Tutor.
A Tutee, or where applicable Tutee’s guardian or parent, shall be responsible to verify the academic or professional qualifications, credentials, proficiency, references of the tutor and to conduct Disclosure and Barring Service checks on the tutor with whom they enter into agreement to provide tuition services.
Tutee acknowledges and accepts that Direct Tutoring Ltd is not party to communications, interactions, negotiations, agreement or transactions between Tutee and Tutor in connection with tuition services. Accordingly, we shall not be responsible for the performance of any duty, agreement, arrangement agreed between Tutor and Tutee.
All communications between Tutor and Tutee must go through Direct Tutoring website. Tutee must not contact or exchange contact details with Tutor outside of Direct Tutoring website.
Tutee agrees not to use the website to advertise, promote or secure tuition services for or on behalf of another company. Tutor agencies wanting to promote their tuition services on our website must obtain our written approval in advance.
Tutee agrees to pay the fees for the lesson in advance.
As condition for use our tuition services platform, Tutee agrees not to solicit Tutor to complete coursework, test, essay or similar tasks.
Tutee agrees to pay a one-off connection fee of £24 as a condition for being allowed to exchange contact details with Tutor. Once payment is confirmed, contact details will be accessible and displayed on the private chat between Tutor and Tutee.
DISCLOSURE AND BARRING SERVICE (DBS) CHECKS
Our services may involve regular contact or working closely with persons under the age of 18 years. As a tutor, you agree that Direct Tutoring Ltd may conduct an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check on you.
USAGE RESTRICTIONS
We want you to be able to enjoy our services in a fair and reasonable way. As a member of Direct Tutoring Ltd, you agree that you will not submit, upload or post to the website anything that is defamatory, illegal, obscene, harassing, threatening, malicious, spam and other unsolicited commercial messages.
You must not use our website for advertising or promotion purpose without our express written consent.
You must not impersonate any person.
You must not submit on the site any content that infringes intellectual property of a third party or privacy and publicity rights of any person.
LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY
The website content is provided for free and is for your informational purposes only. We do not warrant, promise or guarantee that the materials or services offered on or through Direct Tutoring website will be accurate, reliable, and complete or timely. Please note that the website will not be available all the time. We do not warrant or promise that Tutor’s services will meet Tutee’s expectations, needs and requirements and we take no responsibility for any assessment, grading or feedback provided by the Tutor with regard to the Tutee’s courser work or related tasks.

Our website may contain third party advertising and links to external websites. We select our commercial associates with reasonable care but we do not necessarily endorse, recommend or sponsor, and cannot regulate and are not answerable for any third-party content that may be retrieved through this website. We advise to use caution when using such third-party websites and content.
INDEMNITY:
You agree to indemnity and hold harmless Direct Tutoring Ltd and its partners or affiliates against any liability, loss, or claim by third parties arising from or connected with your use of our services or breach of these Terms and Conditions.
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS:
Our website contains a wide range of text, photos, audio, videos, software, data and other content of all forms which we and/ or licencors provide (hereafter “website content”). The website content is protected by copyright, trade mark rights, database rights and other intellectual property rights which are owned by Direct Tutoring Lt and/or our licencors. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive and non-transferable license to view and use the website and view the website content on-screen and, where acceptable by this website, print out a reasonable number of copies of parts of the website content for your own personal and non-commercial purposes only.
You must not, nor try to, re-sell, duplicate, reproduce, publicly display or create derivative works of the website content without our prior written consent. If caught exchanging contact detials without paying via our secure online payment gateway, either the tutee or tutor can be fined up to £1000.
USAGE -GENERATED CONTENT
By posting or uploading material on the website you promise that you:
own the material or have obtained the necessary license which authorized you to distribute the material;
grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, transferable, non-exclusive and royalty-free license to use, copy, adapt, modify, distribute, publicly perform or display and create derivative works thereof in any manner and form at any place.
You waive the right to be given credit in the content.
MISCELLANEOUS
Direct Tutoring reserves the right to remove or modify any content of the website or part thereof without notice or liability.
We reserve the right to suspend or discontinue or terminate a member’s access to the Website and to refuse future use or access of the Website or any portion therefore, if we have reasonable grounds to believe that the member is involved in the violation of these Terms and Conditions. Direct Tutoring may remove any content or require a member to remove any content that violates these Terms.
We reserve the right, at our discretion or on request by any party, to remove any content, posting or material which infringes intellectual property rights of third parties, violates user’s privacy or tarnish their reputation or otherwise breaches these any provision of these terms and conditions.
Notices and communications from Direct Tutoring to you shall be made through the email or other contact information you provided to us upon registration. You agree that we may contact you in response to your questions or the specific services requested by you.
If any provision of these Terms is, for any reason, held to be unenforceable, illegal or invalid in some other way, the unenforceable, illegal or invalid provision will not affect the remainder of these Terms and they will continue in full force and effect.
These Terms are governed by relevant UK law and you and we agree to only bring legal actions about these Terms in a UK court.
