Qualified maths teacher offering tutoring service
I'm Adam, a qualified maths teacher from Manchester. Over the years, I have tutored over 20 A Level students to support their maths and further maths studies before I trained to be a teacher. I am hoping to take on a few students now that I am comfortable with my teaching and return to the more tailored support I can offer as a tutor, with the added insight of a teacher. While my past tutoring experience has focused on A Level students, I have taught ages 11-18 and am happy to welcome high school tutees too. I have included a list of aspects that students in the past have found beneficial to give you some ideas for what our sessions may involve: A lot of students have asked to go though harder classwork or homework to stay on top of their work in lessons. Some students have asked to cover specific areas they were struggling with or may have missed in lessons. Some students have struggled to build a good study routine and I have worked with them to plan their studies and identify areas they wished to work on moving forward. I treat the first sessions as an introduction and they are free - this is a chance for us to get to know each other, look at where we can start in further sessions and for you to discuss what you want to take away from our sessions overall. Currently, sessions will be conducted over Zoom during the current lockdown.
