My Bio
Enthusiastic and supportive Science Tutor
Hello future tutees, My name is Michelle and I am a recent graduate with a passion for helping others achieve their goals. I finished my masters (with distinction) in Marine Biology in September 2020 and have a first class undergraduate degree in Marine, Wildlife and Conservation Biology. During my undergraduate degree I tutored fellow students in Maths, Chemistry, Biology and Ecology. I also worked as a teaching assistant and taught some specialist laboratory classes. I have extensive teaching experience as a SCUBA diving instructor, having taught over 800 students from age 8-60+. I believe teaching is most beneficial when it is tailored to the student. Everyone learns differently and it is my job as a teacher to ensure I change my style to match my students. I want my students to understand the concepts rather than just know how to answer questions in an exam. My personal experience is with the Scottish education system, however I am comfortable teaching the GCSE curriculum too. I hope to see some of you soon, Michelle
